Charles Wetzel Joins Group O as Vice President, Business Intelligence and Information Analytics

MILAN, IL – Group O announced today that Charles Wetzel will join the company as Vice President and General Manager, Business Intelligence and Information Sciences. In this new role, Wetzel will be responsible for expanding and developing the company’s Business Intelligence and Information Analytics practices. Wetzel joins Group O after serving as president and CEO of Buxton, an industry leader in customer analytics, advising clients in the retail, healthcare and consumer packaged goods industries, and in the public sector. Prior to that, he managed merger, business transformation and strategic advisory services at Cap Gemini Ernst & Young Consulting for key players in the communications/media industry such as AOL, Time Warner, Associated Press, Sprint, Verizon and Southwestern Bell.
Recognized as an information sciences industry thought leader, Wetzel has been a frequent presenter at many organizational conferences, including Shoppers Insight, Chain Store Age and Retail Traffic. He is also a contributing member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, Direct Marketing Association, National Retail Federation and the Young Presidents Organization.
Wetzel holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Southern Methodist University, focused in organizational business and business policy. He will be based out of Group O offices in Dallas, where he resides with his wife, Julie, and their three children.
